About Forrest Allen

Dr. Forrest Allen is dual fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management and Sports Medicine and is double board-certified. He graduated from the University of Kansas, and went on to receive a Master’s in Bioethics and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from the Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences. Following a general practice residency in Chicago, he completed his first fellowship at MacNeal Hospital in Primary Care Sports Medicine through Loyola University. He then went on to complete a second fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the Alabama Orthopedic Spine and Sports Clinic in Birmingham.

Academically, Dr. Allen has participated in numerous clinical research studies and has presented nationally at major medical societies throughout his career. His passion for Sports Medicine and the health of athletes has led him to serve as team physician on several high school, college, and professional sports teams. He is an active member of the North American Spine Society and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Allen prides himself on being up to date on the most recent advances in pain treatment. He has been one of the first physicians in the Nashville area to perform numerous recent cutting edge procedures. He also has extensive experience in his field and has performed well over 10,000 interventional procedures to date. He is dedicated to providing his patients with minimally invasive options to treat their pain without the use of drugs or major surgery.

In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, traveling with his wife and son, and following his favorite sports teams, the Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs.
