About Adam Cochran

Adam R. Cochran, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in disorders of the hand, wrist, elbow, and peripheral nerves. Dr. Cochran joins Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics in Nashville, TN, after working in Gwinnett County, GA.

Dr. Cochran received his undergraduate education at University of Georgia, College of Agriculture in Athens, GA, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science. He earned his medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA, and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at University of Louisville, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Louisville, KY. Following residency, he completed a hand surgery fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Richmond, VA.

Dr. Cochran has authored numerous articles and book chapters, and has presented his research at the national level. He utilizes current concepts in the field to deliver compassionate and personalized care. In addition to hand and upper extremity injuries and conditions, Dr. Cochran specializes in microsurgery, arthroscopy, and wide awake surgical procedures under local anesthesia which mitigate the anesthesia requirements.
