About Jonathan Cornelius
Dr. Jon Cornelius started his practice after completing his fellowship in joint replacement and sports medicine in 2009. He joined Premier Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in 2013 which is now Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics. He attended medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Cornelius then completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Michigan State University. He went to University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio for his fellowship.
Dr. Cornelius was the first surgeon in Tennessee to adopt robotic joint replacement of the knee and hip starting in 2011. He continues to bring this cutting edge technology to his patients. In addition to joint replacement of the knee, hip and shoulder, he also treats a variety of sports medicine conditions. He is a team sports medicine physician for Wilson County Schools. He serves on the Board of Directors of Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital and is the current President of Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics.
When not at work, Dr. Cornelius enjoys spending time at the lake and travelling with his wife, Kate, and their two sons and one daughter.
