About Gleb Medvedev
Gleb Medvedev, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with specialized training in hand surgery. Dr. Medvedev joins Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics in Nashville, TN from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA where he practiced and was an assistant professor.
Dr. Medvedev received both his undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, and his medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He then moved to Washington, DC to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at George Washington University. Following residency, he completed a hand surgery fellowship at the Philadelphia Hand Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Medvedev has an extensive research and teaching background, including numerous published studies, scientific poster presentations, podium presentations, and instructional course lectures. He has experience treating high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. His clinical interests include peripheral nerve injuries, wrist arthroscopy, and hand trauma. He performs endoscopic carpal tunnel release, arthroscopic TFCC repair, and other procedures to maximize the speed of recovery in his patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Medvedev loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys running, skiing, scuba diving and cheering on the New Orleans Saints.
