the Hughston clinic approach

At Hughston Clinic Orthpaedics, our physicians are specialty-trained orthopedist that treat injuries and disorders of the upper extremity. Not all painful conditions require surgery; therefore, our physicians look for nonsurgical solutions first. Depending on your condition, you could be treated with a brace, splint, anti-inflammatory medications, rehabilitation (physical or occupational therapy). Or, depending on the severity of the condition, surgery may be a necessary option.

Our physical therapists also specialize in the hand and wrist and the upper extremity. Directed by your physician, therapists help you reach your full potential. If you do need surgery, our surgeons use a variety of innovative techniques and a range of tools to improve surgical outcomes for patients. Some procedures may require a short hospital stay, but many are performed on an outpatient basis.
